horse power?

Default horse power?

how much power should this engine get, the car was dyno tuned, i think it's low hp & tq #'s
302 .020 over stock pistons, afr 165 heads, e cam, 1.6 rollers, new bbk ssi intake, 75 mm throttle body,
headers, exhaust, etc... basic bolt ons....

with the e-cam...my guess would be around 260-270 rwhp.. just my guess though.

with stock cam, BBK intake, AFR 165's and 1.7 RR's my car made 260rwhp

you should be a little higher than that.


you used longer spark plugs with those AFR heads right? stock plugs are not long enough
to extend into combustion chamber.

we were looking around 300 but the car dynoed at 248 hp and 271 tq
i think that something aint right

was it on a "Mustang Dyno"? cause they read lower than a Dynojet dyno.

if was Dynojet, yes something is not right, you should be well over 260rwhp and close but not quite 300rwhp.

check timming, check fuel pressure, check for vacum leaks. theres alot of stuff to check.. also..what kind of dyno was it? regular dynojet or a mustang dyno? what trans are you using. certain trans take more power to use then others.

it is my cusins car, i am building my engine haven't really decided on what to do, but i do want to get a vortech supercharger first part of the year. what would you recommend in cam, intake, etc... i have full exhaust i would like to run 12's

there are litterally hundreds of threads on discussing all the different intakes and cams and such with alot of good info, try the search function and I guarantee you'll find pages of info
