im about to do my 1st mod. a 180 thermostat!!
maybe a dumb question but will i still have heat in the winter?
is there any set backs to this mod?
thanx
I am a newby here and after reading through a lot of the questions here, there are no dumb questions. Yes you will have heat in the winter. The advantage to running a lower thermostat is that your car will perform better because it runs cooler.
160* is a bad idea on a computerized car, never go that low unless you got a carb - and even at that you may lose some performance ... an engine needs some heat to make hp and a computerized car usually wont go into closed loop with a 160* stat
