Default 95 V6>5.0 swap

I bought a 95 V6 car with the intentions of swapping in a 5.0, but I have a couple questions, and what little info i've been able to find is sketchy at best. I was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction.

The plan: I found a 95 GT complete motor with all accy. brackets, but no accessories (no big deal) My thought was to use a pre94 wiring harness, and computer.

The question: IF I switch to the pre-94 wiring/computer will I have problems with anything else on the car. I'm not real familiar with how the systems are tied together or for what reasons.

Should I: I did read (and it would make sense) that the V6 wiring harness could be used for the most part with the exception of the injector harness. I've heard that the 94-95 computers engine management kind of stunk for performance. Is there an adapter kit/harness to use a pre94 computer with the 95 wiring harness?

I know I could do all this by trial/error and it will probably work out, but it usually means a lot of frustration/extra money spent that I really didnt need to. If someone here could point me in the right direction I'd REALLY appreciate it.

Thanks
T

Default RE: 95 V6>5.0 swap

I am about 90% complete on a swap that I put a 94 cobra engine into my 95 v6. I too was going to put in a 93 electronics system but through much research found it to be cheaper and easier to go with the 94/95 setup and install a performance chip. Needless to say, all of the how to articles out there are woefully short on the small details. I bought a wiring harness, CCRM, TFI module, computer and a couple of other electronics off of the used market. I am currently waiting on information on the alternator and ac harness, as I believe it is a separate harness that I did not purchase. The harness comes in several sections, so be cautious if you order a Engine wiring harness, it needs to have the transmission section(specify auto or standard), oxy sensor section, computer section, starter/battery section, and I believe, an alternator/ac section. I have heard that there are significant difficulties when using other than the 94/95 setup for the v8 as the underhood wiring and the CCRM can cause problems for you. Let me know if you need more specifics.
