5.0L TO 351W SWAP IN FOX BODY
I have now a 1990 5.0L GT to add to my collection. I have an SVT too, but I have bought this one to be a devoted 1/4 mile car.
I know that swapping a 5.0L for a 351W can be done, and have done some research on how to build a 351W, but have some questions that I hope might have answers out there. Like this. Where do I get a 351W. Is a 80's 1/2 ton truck ok? Also, should I do an EFI Windsor or carb it?
My hopes are to put this on the bottle, and also, am kicking around the idea of aluminum heads. I know 400HP can be acheived with a Windsor, and I would like to add to that , by incorporating aluminum heads and nitrous.
Two most important questions,
What block from what kind of vehicle would be the best to work from and .....
EFI or carb.
thx

EFI or carb both have there pluses and minus's
both will make same power given equal air flow.
carb is cheaper and easier to tune but sucks *** on mpg and staying tuned.
EFI is more expensive but will stay tuned better
also your car is already set-up to accept EFI.
Yes, get Aluminum heads.
any 351W block will work fine, 94-98 were roller cam blocks
came in vans, F-250's F-150's all kinds of cars and trucks.
Have fun
