ruff idle
last night i drove my car and had no problems or any signs of problems to come. this morning when i went to work the car had a really ruff idle. it sounded like and drove like it was missfiring. it was also lacking a lot of hp. i just got home so its too hot to touch but when it cools down, what should i check for? (besides the plugs) in case its important, it was running about 180-190 degrees the whole time. what would make such a difference while it was just sitting over night?

RE: ruff idle
went back and found the plugs are fine and the timing is set for 13 degrees. i tried resetting the computer but that didnt work.
my next question is, how long do o2 sensors last. the ones i have in there now are orriginal from 92. ive heard they are only good for 3 years. ive also heard 5 and 10. regardles of which one, im at 12 years. my car smells like its running rich (yes i know it has no cats) but it still seems to smell more then i thought it would. any thoughts?

actually roundman you may have something there. that night i did 2 things. got gas and went to the pet store. the whole trip was maybe 3 miles. ive noticed my car has a lack of power when i get gas there and it only gets about 14mpg from them too. the arco on the way to work gets me 18mpg. i have some octane booster laying around, should i run that stuff through untill the tank is empty. im pissed cause i put in 10 gallons too
