Popping out of 2nd

I have a 92 lx notch that I just bought, it has 35 thousand miles on it and it keeps popping out of 2nd gear. Any suggestions?

besides poping out any other probs? does it grind? give us a lil more info...but goin on only what you said, i wanna say its your detents... they hold the linkage in place when its in gear...

35k and torn up already....damn i abused mine with 160k on it...still working when pulled out................in reverse
