Suspension noob
My suspension is 100% stock, and traction sucks. 50resto has this kit for $500 that has 70/30 struts, 50/50 shocks, and the Eibach Drag Launch spring set with an airbag. that sounds good right? the car gets driven mostly in the summer, and goes to the track maybe twice a month. are 70/30 struts relatively streetable? for the rear control arms, should i get an ok upper and lower set, or just put all the money towards good lowers, or are traction bars even better? and when i got my gears installed the mechanic said my torque boxes arent looking that good, would you get upper or lower battle boxes or both to fix that. my best 60' so far is a 2.05 with regular street tires, should all this suspension work make it a lot lower

RE: Suspension noob
Before you work on any more suspension definetly fix your torque boxes. You can buy a kit from wild rides race cars for like $100 bucks. Not sure how much to install them. I know that wild rides said they would do my lowers for $325 including parts and uppers and lowers for $700 including parts. After that go with a good set of upper/lower control arms. and than get that kit. 1/4 times should drop a decent amount if your not catching traction at the track. You should invest in a set of DR's too.

^+1 on beefing up the torque boxes (wild rides),then weld in the subframe connectors(maximum motorsports), then install the upper & lower control arms w/ poly bushings(upr products), then install the springs/shocks(eibach/kyb), then put on DR's(BFG)!

RE: Suspension noob
that order sounds good, hopefully ill get around to doing it all before the track opens again in the spring. i still dont know if i should get upper/lower control arms, or just lakewood lift bars, or the liftbars with upper control arms. and dan i still havent gotten subframes lol
