true, but first is pretty short, to have it in first then to move your hand to the switch then back to the shifter in that amount of time is a lot of work.... could always use one of those ricer shift ***** with the button on it
ORIGINAL: nmerrill

not if he turned off the switch that supplied power to the clutch switch befor ehis first shift

well actually if you think about it, once the lock is released from its active state, it will lock again with the clutch pedal, but the actual brake lines will not be pressurized, so i dont think it would lock up the wheels. your supposed to engage the lock with the pedal down so that it holds good pressure. without hitting the brake, i'd assume it wouldn't work, so i dont think it would have to be de-activated until shortly before the end of the track

you could wire the switch on the steering wheel or something. take off cruise controls and put it there, make it look good and use full without the rice look. just an idea.

i'm not a line lok expert, i know i wouldn't want to take the chance of it locking up the tires, i would just make the button realy close to the shifter

so set it up so that when its on if you push the clutch the line lock enguages? im kinda confused...
the linelock would engage when the clutch is pressed in AND the switch on the dash is... well.. switched

he would just have to remember to shut it off before the end of the track.. so that he can stop
That would be weird. You're wiring in an extra switch for nothing.

Matt, just do it the right way man w/o the extra switch. It serves no purpose

I used a NOS switch for mine. I like the way it works!!!

yah, the interior switch controls the power being fed to the switch at the clutch, and the switch at the clutch controls power to the line lock

Exacxtly, you're makeing an extra, unneeded step. Just wire the switch to the LL soleniod, be done!!
