$1100, is a lot of money better spent elsewhere when a sufficient cooling system upgrade can be done for less than $250. i.e. 3 core copper/brass direct replacement $150, 180* T-Stat $12, Taurus Electric Fan $40 (@ junkyard), and coolant $10. That leaves nearly $900 for suspension or motor mods.[8D]

wow thats insane. F*ck that! I know prices are different up there but I got a copper three core rad for $160. Along with a 180 thermo my car cools AWSOME. Its still stock but I can beat the hell out of it for hours and not touch 1 degree past 190.

Currency is different we are talking American Dollars vs. Canadien Dollars, and what is your avg. wage per hour?

1 US Dollar = 1.14669 Canadian Dollar, your money goes 14% farther... i.e. 249.99 x .86 = $214.99... so yes it's more expensive but not as extreme as it appears when currency is converted...

ok, another thing to figure in here. You are in CANADA. I am not thinking that it is snow year round and the like, but to my knowledge 85 is pretty hot even on a summer day. I have friends in places like texas that get by fine with 300 RWHP, stock rad, and an electric fan and have no problems.

But I am not paying 214.99, I would pay 249.99. If I was american, had american money and went to buy it then it would be less expensive but I am not and I don't so that makes it irrelevent. The price of cars is the same way. Even if you covert the currency rthe average price for a brand new car hwere is 7 - 10K more then if It was bought in america.
Ford mustang GT coupe premium = 27,040.00 USD = 30,850.00 CDN
At a canadian dealer 39,289.00 CDN = 34,429.00 USD this is taken from Ford websites.

A friend of mine bought an 06 vert in june, when it was all said and done the tag was $51,000.00

I think it's worth a little bit extra to get the best. You see my mods, nothing too extreme but I just bought a new aluminum rad (from E-bay, kind of nightmare but thats another post!) paid about $250, got a rebuilt 3.8 Tarus fan for about $100 and a DCC FK35 Controller for about another $100 more. Not so bad, I mainly got the electric fan to free up a few more pony's :-) but at least I know I will never have a cooling problem and if I put a supercharger or something like that later on I don't have to do any upgrades on my cooling system.
