haha yea i know right?!?! even though the 96-up cobras have a smaller motor but would put out so much more than yours!!!! lol. so are all you 5.0 guys haters on the 4.6 for replacing the 5.0 or is it ever much of problem to you guys anyways? im not being sarcastic im just wondering what all you guys thought of the changeover from 5.0-4.6

I personally love that ford changed form the 5.0 to the 4.6, It makes our beloved 5.0's much more sought after. Not to mention the huge aftermarket, and the ease/relatively low price of modding it, oh, and i almost forgot is there any thing out there that sounds as good as a 5.0?? I think not!

great deal you got their as said before if you just used it for parts to build another stang its well worth it.... congrats.
i personally prefer the 5.0 unless were talking about a 03/04 cobra....

why is everyone all 4.6 vs 50, i love em both, they are both fast cars, they both have that mustang sound, i mean c'mon, . i love my foxes, for the ease of work, cheaper performance parts, easier to mod then trying to set up 4 cams. lol, but i tell you what, the interior of my fox gets a little old sometimes, its very outdated, and old looking, you know all square, it doesnt ride as nice as sn 95, it doesnt have 4 wheel disc brakes, or 5 lugs, i mean i have a beautiful all black leather interior, with blackleather seats out of a 98 saleen, but it just insnt the same as getting into my moms 98 cobra, newer interior stlying, smoother ride, smooth power that keeps pulling all the way to 7,000 rpm,So you got to take some to give some, they both have their pros and cons, but i like em both

i personally wouldnt touch a 4.6l. they are difficult to work on, literally shoved into the engine bay, and more expencive to buy parts for...
not to mention, when it comes time for emissions testing.... you have to deal with all that OBD2 bull****.
I dont have the 4.6 for replacing the 5.0... Its just not my cup of tea
And as far as the cobra 4.6 putting out so much more than my car.... the only reason its faster in the 1/4 mile is due to the 3.27 gearing. tq numbers are almost identical... and well... the 5.0 is just a better sounding motor
