A lot more. No idea on prices, though.

For hp check out my sig... but youre gonna need more than a kit... count on 10K or more unless youre a mechanic...

most people see in the low 400's rwhp on a good 408W set-up. ( 425-450rwhp n/a )

fordstrokers.com has 408W kits for CHP for $1,000 delivered

coasthigh 408 short block .... $2,500
AFR 205's ............ $2,000
cam, intake, carb ........ $1,000
assymbly ................. $1,000

Should be able to get nice 500+hp 408W for about $6,000-7,000 with carb,
add another $1,000 for EFI with injectors and EFI intake.

IMHO, the bad part of the whole stroker kit thing is that the basic engine parts are cheap enough but when you get to the other stuff to support the shortblock the cost gets way out of hand.....
HP is probably going to really cost you about $15 each if (big if) you can do all the assembly yourself and you use a Ford block and all new parts everywhere.......
