The stupid door molding on my 88 keeps starting to peel off at the ends. I took it off, cleaned both surfaces off, and even went over them with acetone. I bought the proper expensive acrylic tape from lordco. I put it on with that tape when the surfaces were warm and it seems like it was on really solid. After 2 days out in the rain both sides started peeling badly. Somebody told me I can try using epoxy instead of the tape? Anyone else know any other ways or tips to get the damn molding to stay on...

My best guess is that you used acetone... alcohol is usually better. IMO.

epoxy hsould deff work. Youll have to scrape that **** off if you want to get it off after that

What kinda epoxy is it? Like the 2 part stuff from rona?

Im not sure of the stuff you bought from lordco?? but I know 3M makes a really strong durable weather resistant tape like they use to attach ventshades, smokers dreams, what ever you want to call them. This might be the same stuff but i know if you screw it up it is a BITCH to get off
