Default vette

So my aunt is big into corvettes, she owns an 03 vette (the one with 300 hp) its auto and is the basic model, she has catback exhaus and some different computer tuning done to it, apparently the point where it shifts was changed and they got around 100 hp from 2 different chips/computer tuning sessions??? So the deal is i want to know what il need to beat her in a race, the only thing that is done to her car is what i have listed. Could a TF street heat kit with 3.73 full bolt-on and control arms beat her?? or would i need some nitrous(my car is 89 gt 5speed vert) Sorry for such a noob post but im just tryin to get an idea of what i need to do it(not overnight over a few years i want to obtain this)

Default RE: vette

Well that car has more than 300 hp, in fact it probably makes at least 300 hp to rear wheels. But most of the autos had 2.73 gears which will hurt her. 100 hp from a tune seems pretty big, and I doubt tey actually got that much. I would say her car is a high 12 second car if drivin right, so all you need to do is make your car run mid to low 12's and you will have her more than covered.
