thunderbird engine in a fox
i have a question...
my grandpa owns 4 like early 70's t-birds. they just sit in his field all lined up beside each other doing NOTHING lol. i asked him the other day what they had for engines and he said 3 of them are 302's and one is a 357 i think. now my question is would that 357 be any good in a fox or would a 351w be better? i'm not even sure what these engines are like, i would plan on rebuilding it anyways if id did decided to put it in my car... im just curious as to what you guys think?

im not sure ford ever made a 357, maybe it is a 351 bored over, which in that case, yeah it would be a good swap. or maybe he meant 351, or it could possibly be a FE engine, which would be a pretty hard swap for your car

fe is a big block.. you sure he didnt say 352?
Also, do you have any idea what years the cars are cause that would help you alot.. i dont remember them putting the 302 in the t-birds till late 70's.

it's not a bad motor.
352 specs.
not sure if it will work well in a fox..dont know if they make a swap kit for a fox for a fe motor.

well i know they make swap kits for the 285 engine series but i'm not sure about the FE engine series.... it would bealot easier if you knew the year of the cars.. or at least the engine codes from them.... i dont think the 352 engine was made into the 70's.
