What's this sensor ???

I found a sensor on the top of my block (firewall side) right before the lower intake edge. The only problem is I dont have a plug on the harness to put on it. I just replaced the motor and don't remember it being on the original. Does anyone have a clue what the sensor is?

Its on the rear drivers side of the lower intake? Without pics im thinking PCV valve but that would be to obvious. Not sure. Pics or a better description would help.

i would say dont worry about it... my car doesnt have it... therefore you dont need it (since my motor is all stock)

Two pin sensor, center, upper engine area of the block?......looks like the donor engine came from a truck....that would be the Knock Sensor....not used in Mustang V8 EEC-IV systems.

RE: What's this sensor ???

My first thought was a knock sensor as well... It is a 5.0 truck block. As long as I don't need it then I'm not going to worry about it. Thanks for the clarification.
