It depends what state your in. In states like california I've heard of peoples cars getting crushed for racing. Here in md they take your licence for 6 months minimum and its a $550 fine, plus court cost, plus any classes required to get your licence back.

Mandatory 30 day impound in which u hafta pay the fee, 2 points on record 24 hours community service, insurance fucts u over. Oh and also 3 year prabation.
Happened to me wont do it again, take it to the track.
If u wanna get you car out early go to the police station and have your parent tell them its your only vehicle to get to work and school and they might let u have it.

That's why I don't street race. There's just too much at risk!!!
