Default Gears!

I have a 1994 mustang gt 5.0 stock. i went to a car shop and they want 780$ to install 3:73 gears is that about right? are is that too much?

Hell No! Even if that included the price of the gears that would be a bit on the steep side. You should be able to find some place that will do it from $200 - $300 or so for the install.

that sounds better 200-300$ not 750$ for gears. oh and they said that they will need a a ball baring kit. to place in there.

thats alot! I was supposed to get charged $325... but beware for more charges. dont forget about gear, oil, install kit, etc.

My install ended up costing my $415.00. It SHOULDNT have because i got d*cked but just beware!

That is insane, I might pay $200-$300 at most if I didn't already know how to do them myself.

Well they kept tell me that it is goign to cost more becasue something about the bearing begin compressed right and i need a ball bearing kit for some reason.

huh? are they talking about the crush sleeve that uses a standard socket to set, and an "lb torque wrnech to check... if so find a new garage... do you need new axle bearings? Even then its all already apart, just two more bearings to pull and press on.... jmo
