Rear end vibration

Default Rear end vibration

Yeah i just got a 93 cobra with 373 gears put in the rear end it was baught like that and i was driving back for san antonio tx to lubbock yesterday and it just kept getting worse im not sure what it i that is causing the grind vibration noise but maybe a little help from a pro would help before it messes everything up.

I would guess its a u-joint, when they go it gets worse and worse

a grinding vibration? not ujoints. ujoints bang, they dont grind. im betting the lash on the gearset is wrong, or the rear brakes are stuck.

yeah the u joints are new back lash is set good turns out to be the rear seal and bushing in the tranny thanks for the help

do you mean the bushing the hold the tranny to the crossmember? i been thinking mine might be bad too.

no at the tail housing of the transmission wher the slip yoke on the drive shaft slides in well first it goes through the seal and then behind that seal in the tranny is a little copper bushing that holds the drive shaft tightly in ther and turns out that bushing in my car is worne out so im fixing to put the bushing and a new slip yoke on ther as soon as the snow goes away

I had that problem, it was the pinion or w/e its called (where the driveshaft connects to the rear end). it could be an axle bearing, or transmission seal.
