Hey guys I am either going to buy a harwood hood or cervini. I want the harwood because it comes black (proably won't get it painted for awhile) but I knoe that it needs to be sized. How hard would sizing the hood be with basic home tools? Or should I just get the cervini hood (which ppl say fit perfect) and spray paint it black?

Needs to be sized?... If the hood has been made for your car, all you should have to do is bolt it on and align it. Should be able to bolt it on with common socket tools. A pin on will require more work because you have to install your pins. You may need an extra set of hands to align the hood.

Alot of people with harwoods told me there is alot of extra material that needs to be trimmed to make it lay flush.

Fiberglass hoods almost never just "drop on." There's usually some work that needs to be done, whether it be trimming, etc, to get it to fit properly.

dunno I bought it locally, but ive seen cervinis hoods not need any modding to fit

My hood required some fitment. Was a pain the rear. But it looks nice now.

You can't trim a fiberglass hood with rolled edges. Which all hoods that I have seen have rolled edges. Most are not just single ply fiberglass that can be trimmed. Like some lift of kit car hoods.

All ppl I have talked to w/ harwood hoods say they leave alot of extra material on the hood the needs to be trimmed and bondoed.
I want a hood w/ no preping or trimming just something that lays perfect
