No Start

Default No Start

Ok.A couple of days ago my car just died...I found out that I had no spark at the plugs..So I replace the rotor button and cap..Still no fire at the plugs..So today I pull the dizzy out clean it up reinstall it..The car fires right up..I let the car idle for about 15 mins..Then I go drive it I get about 1/4 mile from my house and it goes crazy..The car starts hesitating,backfiring,and stalling then just died..Now it wont start so I right back to where I started...What you guys thing..

i think you should have resurrected your last thread so we could remember what we already discussed i remember talking with you about it. how did the dizzy gear look when you pulled the dizzy? was it beat up at all?

ok well you've replaced the wires, cap, rotor, plugs, cleaned the distrib. so there really arent many cheap options left. other than the PIP inside the dizzy.

yea, I'd think PIP from here, coils and ignition modules USUALLY either work or don't....usually....

Sometimes they quit when they get hot though....

sure sounds like the ignition module on the side of the distributor. has happened to me many times. if you let it sit for ten or so minutes, it will start right back up and run fine until it gets hot.
