Default Dizzy position ???

When i took out my dizzy for the teardown for the HCI, i marked it where it was. Then....My dumbass decided to paint the front of the block to clean it up some, and painted right over the mark. How critical is it to where the dizzy goes back in, i have an idea of to where i marked the block to the dizzy, but not exact.

Default RE: Dizzy position ???

reset the motor to tdc, you may have to crank it and wait for compression in the #1 to come around(to avoid being 180 off). after its at tdc, put it in so the rotor is pointing at the #1 plug wire on the cap
