RE: Distributor Help!!
Ok I finally was able to advance it enough so the car would start. It would idle very rough for about 5-10 secs and then die. I am guessing its still a timing issue. The more I would advace it the longer it would run.So far every time I have had the #1 at TDC and put the dizzy in facing #1 it won't start. I had to advance it about 20ish* to finally get it to start. Am I just having bad luck with this or what? I know a decent amount about auto mechanics. I am very mechanical in general. I follow directions well and have done what everyone says to do and still no luck. Thanks.

RE: Distributor Help!!
I turned the crank by hand until I felt air coming out of the #1 cylinder. I looked on the crank and I could see the timing numbers. So I know I did it right. I then turned it till I put it on 0*. I put the dizzy in. As it was it wouldn't start. I had to advance it almost as much as I could to get it to start. It ran somewhat rough but not too horrible consdering. I know its a timing issue. If it wasn't timing then it wouldn't start after I mess with the dizzy. Thanks for your help.
