I did not use any stock brackets during the install. In fact you have to wedge the unit in (at least my car) so the wall mount screws are gone........

so what supports the meter? the air box.

Oh....the air meter...........nothing.

It fits in the housing and has a few wires exposed but it does not mount to anything other than the housing and filter........

I understand clocking will help rough idle. but after i put the new meter my car was back firing and every thing. put stock one back on and car ran fine. do you think taking off the - cable of battery will help the backfire problem and snailish wot. thanks. I know i can be anoying.

I would check to be sure you have the correct sample tube.

it has yellow paint on the tip of the tube. isnt that 19lb injectors. i was thinking the same thing. when i go wot it feels like i am in 4th or 5th gear from a dead stop. maybe they painted the wrong tube i dont know. but car does backfire alot with this c&l mass air.
