New owner questions about upgrades
This winter I will be doing some work on the 5.0 mustang I recently purchased and of course will be buying some toys but had a few questions.
Oil
The original owner has always used Mobil 1, not sure which weight but the manual said 5w-30, but I've heard 10w-30 is the way to go, and thoughts here? (the car has about 35000 original miles) and also should I stick with Mobil 1 or use Amsoil or Royal Purple?
I also am redoing the oil pan gasket so I figure while I have it off, would you recommend changing the pan and going with a more high performance pan? Perhaps a 7 quart or a better 5 quart?
Also, I want to change all the other fluids this winter (trans, rear diff (while maybe dropping down to a 3.73 from a 4.10), radiator), what would you recommend for these since I am new to the Mustang scene, I've heard royal purple and amsoil are good but it seems like more people use royal purple for all around better performance.
Exhaust
There are currently some headers, an h-pipe and what looks like flowmaster 40 series mufflers on the car. I am looking at picking up some ceramic coated BBK shorty headers, is it worth it to do equal length in terms of horsepower gains? Also, is there anyone that makes a good stainless h-pipe or should I get a painted h-pipe (I really hate rust!)? I am also planning stainless 40 series mufflers with a dump just before the rear axle so I can avoid that goofy pipe bend over the rear axle.
Sorry for another long post but finally got my dream car and seem to have thousands of questions and a mile long wish list. Thanks in advance for all your help.

RE: New owner questions about upgrades
There are many people running 5w30 in their car... I personally have always ran 10w30 in both my Stangs.
Oil pan - your stocker will be fine.
Fluid - alot of people run royal purple but flushing your whole car and using royal purple can be very expensive!
exhaust - the different between equal length and unequal is only a few hp. Its a personal opinion wether the extra frustration is worth 2-3 ponies. But hey, every bit counts! Also, BBK makes a really nice h pipe that ALOT of poeple run.
