signs of having stock pistons. HELP.....
just opened up a 351w from 1972 and the pistons don't say anything on 'em. The only number is "351" on the piston and the other casting numbers on the rods.
Does this mean that they are original standard pistons from 72? I just want to know if the engine was rebuilt at one point.

i dont think you need a 4". a while back i read something about a guy who had a custom k member made to drop his 351 an inch and a half so it would go under the stock hood. i assume a 2" cowl hood would clear the engine with a stock kmember.

RE: signs of having stock pistons. HELP.....
when i mount the 351, is it worth having a 4" cowl? do you guys think the 4" cowl is a dead giveaway of what is under the hood? cause you know some people have that hood for show with their stock HO intake. Maybe the 2.5" will give it a more sleeper look.
But i guess when they listen to the engine, they'll probably know i mean business... any advice?
