It really depends on what he is looking for. If he wants something that is heat, chemical, fuel, etc. resist then he should go with Line-X.

I'm actually going to tear up my carpet and have it sprayed along with my trunk. Later on I will probably get the engine bay done.

Line-X is also good at suppressing sound.

Onr of the other nice ideas is most of the line-x shops are tinting the compound now, there are sever diff colors you can get.

a plus about that stuff is, you can get it in the same color as your paint job, a downer about that stuff, water can get trapped inbetween it and the metal causing rust.

NO, with Line-X water can NOT get trapped between the Line-X material and the metal. The Line-X completely adheres to the metal bonding the two together.

If it's anything like Rhino Liner that I'm familiar with I think it would look ugly in an engine bay. I'd paint it and be careful...

that Line-X stuff is pretty badass, very strong stuff. Don't think it will look too good in an engine bay though. Just remember for you guys that are thinking of using it....once it is on, that is it, it is on. YOu have to sand all the way down to the bare metal if you can get through it first.

My father in law has an old Jeep and he had Rhino liner sprayed on it because it was cheaper than a paint job. It is some pretty tough stuff that can take a beating. I definately wouldn't hide some wires under it though.

Since Line-X and the Rhino Liner bound to the metal, how were you expecting to hide wires under it?
