how hard is it to hook up an msd 6 ignition control box to a 5.0 mustang? (carberated)

It is going on an 81 musatng with a 302. Motor is bored to a 306 with trick fow pistons and an edelbrock. i am going to get gt40 aluminum heads.

Just plug in positive and negative wire to battery and use the adapter plug from MSD to plug into coil and your done

well I have it on my 69 but it has nitrous and I have a twin turbo kit for it now. I just see better ways to get a 3hp increase

its not necessarily for the hp increase, its more for the efficiency and reliability. 95% of higher power cars have MSD or a comparable system

Or if you live in an area with tougher emmissions it will help(not positive on that one, but it makes sense), and if you catch a deal on one like me.

Right, I see your point! Which brings me back to the question i asked. What other mods do you have? You can invest that money in other places first and then get the MSD.
