I want to go w/ a side exhaust... I've heard spintech make a kit for side-exhaust on foxes, but haven't seen anything yet. I may just go w/ a custom setup, in which case I'm going packs.

they say on here that magnas flow a lot beeter than flowmaststers because mags are straight through mufflers and flows are chamberd. but i personally like the sound of flows the best.

i think the best sounds is straight pipe... thats what i got... 3 inch pipe running all the way down

Yes, I have Dyno-Max mufflers and "cat-back" exhust on my 85 LX 5.0. Have been using them since I replaced the original factory system back in 1989.

Switched from the factory 85 style "Y" pipe system to the 87 style "H" pipe system about two years back, installed an off road "H" pipe last week (used "H" pipe I had purchased was clogged with carbon. See topic in "General" section of For Forums.

My complaint at this time is that the off road "H" pipe causes the car to be too loud for everyday use and I have to be very easy on the pedal because of the cops.

Flowmasters give more horsepower? I can't justify the price as the turbo-style mufflers that come with the Dyno-flow package show no indication of holding back the engine's potential power. Besides, I paid less then $US175 for the entire package, retail.

Im thinking about putting a nice new set of magna's on my fox. But what I would realy like to do would be to put some electric cut-outs on it but I cant seem to find any. Does anyone know were I can find a set?

can someone throw me some links for some sound clips.... i was really courious as to how a 50 would sound with single chamber flows... i never hear anyone going with em.. are they just to loud? thanks alot -james

i used to have 1 chamber flows and yes it was loud!! kinda had a old school glasspack sound down low and just screemed in the upper rpm range but they would drone you out of the car and i would not recommend them for everday driving but if you have a stock midpipe than they might not be that bad IMO o yeah i have a bassani o/r x pipe
