Lol....well like I said we are just playing with the idea, but I think it'd be fun to do nontheless.
Anyway, we're arguing already about transmissions. He's insisting on a 5 speed of some sort and I'd really like to build a C4. Which would be more reliable and last longer? (We both have 5 speed GTs as our DDs)

for a straight drag car definetly go w/ a c4. much more consistent, shifts faster, stronger, parts are cheap for it

Vig just look under any 70's car at crazy rays with a 302, it more than likely has a c4. I'm planning on pulling one for my 86 so I can sell the car running.

Putting a 351w in your car doesn't automaticly mean you'll run 12's. You do know that a stock 351w has just a little more hp than a stock 302 right?
