Default 1987 5.0 *24,000 original miles* Whats it worth?

Im currently looking at purchasing a 1987 5.0 GT w/ 24,128 original miles on it. The car is in perfect shape, no dents/dings. I have ran a CARFAX report on it and all is good. What do you think this car is worth?

Car Information:
24,138 original miles
5.0 302 V8 Engine
5 speed Transmission
Flowmaster Exhaust
BBK Headers
American Thunder Exhaust with H Pipe
Center mounted Tachometer with shift light and gauges
Ford Motorsports Clutch
373 Gears
150 NOS System
17" Chrome Rims

Thanks,

Got pictures? Sure its not been damaged & painted over? No bondo? I've seen a 5 spd 89 GT go for $12,500 with 31k miles on it. It was completely stock & in PERFECT condition.

well its not bone stock and using nitorus even with 24k might as well have 150k in my book over 6k and call it a day. Do you care if it has low mileage?

Good statement. An engineer @ Porsche said 1 race mile = 1000 regular miles.

Well, I spoke to the owner on the phone at about 9pm and he says the nitrous system "nitrous container" is installed in the car but has not been hooked up, he says that all nozzles/etc will come with it. I take this that the car has not been sprayed before. The owner of the car sounds like he is in his mid 60's.

I can get the car for $6k, I guess ill have to drive to ohio to check it out. I know it sounds to go to be true, but the guy seems like he didnt know what has. To me it just seems like an older guy who doesn't want the car anymore so he is selling it for what he THINKS its worth. The kelly blue book and the NADA both show that the car in reality should only be worth like $3k even with that low of miles, but like said above, I have seen some go for $10k+ with that low of mileage.

Like I stated before, I ran a CARFAX report on it and there are no reported wrecks, etc, so I dont see why it would of needed body work. If its only got 24,000 miles on it, and the guy says its garage kept, I dont see it ever needing body work.

I guess all I can do is go check it out and then go from there.

It is possible to wreck your car & fix it yourself. There would be no record of something like that. & chances are if someone fixed up a mustang they ran it hard.

Look at the car take 4 k in cash show him the kelly blue book. Never know you might walk away with a steal. And tell him he can keep the Nitrous kit. Act like you dont care about speed very much.If the car is mint i would turn it into a show car. That is low mileage. But im gonna say somebody new what they was up to, they got 373s so that means its been raced on the street. Nobody puts 3.73 and new exhuast just cause. Eveyone puts them on for the 1/4 mile not for good gas mileage hehehehe.[8D]

the 87's are real hard to find but idn man that nos wood make me start thinkin twice about a high price on the car, if i were u i wood bring it to a machanic and have him check the whole engine like the compression and stuff because n e one cood use nos all they want and then when it comes to selling the car that peron can easily disconnect all the lines and say it was never used
