I stalled 3 times since i had it, and i smelt it burning a tiny bit a little. Any tips? I drive 5 speed good, this is my first racing clutch and im not used to it at alllll and i have to drive up town tomorrow in it!

there is a little break in time, just go drive it some more. you'll get used to it.

Is it normal to have a little burning with a brand new clutch?

Any good tips from anybody with this clutch?

I feel like it engages right before its all the way out, so when it does i push in some gas and let off. it goes off smooth then about a minute later i smell it burning!

ok so that is the right way?

Like, ill let off the clutch until i feel it about to stall then i press the gas twice and let off the clutch slowly.

exactly how i did to my other clutch and it was fine, the only reason i replaced the old one is because i didn't let it break in all the way before ragging on it. haha

but if i smell it burning a tiny bit here and there, will it damage it any in the future? Thats what im most worried about.

my centerforce smelled for about 30 miles of city driving, i think your trying to hard, just go out and have a little fun, don't be dumpin the clutch or anything just find a nice back road and open it up

what do you mean you press the gas twice??? you should steadily be applying gas as you release the clutch, it's all about finding the ratio of how far each pedal moves in relation to the other

as in wot? i'm told i shouldn't slam the gas down with the new clutch for about 450 miles.

you really dont want it to almost stall, the 5.0 has enough power to pull itself without any gas, once the clutch starts to engage, press the gas a little bit and release clutch fully, not too slow. letting it almost stall actually makes the disc slip a bit, causing a little smell.

When i had my old clutch i drove it so smooth that i just pressed the gas twice as comming up from the clutch and i was moving.

With this new clutch i do that, and it burns. So should i just apply gas as soon as i want to start letting the clutch up?
