Fuel pump/regulator questions
I have 2 questions to ask:
1. Has anyone ever had an aeromotive fuel pressure regulator stick shut on them on startup resulting in a no start condition.
2. Is there a problem installing an in tank fuel pump that is too large for the application or just a waste of money.
thanks in advance

RE: Fuel pump/regulator questions
I don't know a lot about injection systems but if you are using a 24lb injector system it seems to me that you only need to get about 195 lbs of fuel per hour to the system. If fuel (gas) is 6.5 lbs per gallon then 195 lbs would only be about 30 gallons.
I think it's real easy to have too much pump on a car and really be spending a lot of $$ for nothing.
BTW, did you see the story in 5.0 &4.6 power magazine for this month about running the pump on 17 volts instead of 12 and getting a lot more fuel volume. Hooking up an electrical transformer got to be easier than dropping tank etc to change pump....

RE: Fuel pump/regulator questions
I've got the Aeromotive regulator on my racer and I haven't had any kind of problem with it whatsover.
having a pump way bigger than the max the injectors can flow is just a waste of money IMO.
