1993 Cobra- R? + Pics
Hey guys-
Does anyone know what the backspacing on the '93 Cobra and Cobra R's wheels were? The R had 5-lug, the standard cobra had 4-lug and the axle lengths were the same.
I'm having some serious wheel issues with my new setup and those 2 cars are the only ones that had SN95-sized rearends and a fox chassis.
Also- anyone else with an sn95 rearend on their fox? What sized wheels are you running? I'm getting OUTSIDE fender rub on my 17x9 cobra's w/6.12 backspacing and I think I need to change my wheels to be able to drive again.

^^^ LOL
Yeah, I am. I got the brakes intalled (they ************ kick *** so hard), the suspension going on, and the only problem left is the wheel rub... however big of a problem that is.
The backs are the only ones that are giving me trouble and I realized why after I finished the install... the SN95 axles are a 1/2" longer than the stock fox axles. Those axles pushed my 9" cobra's almost flush with my fender flares... giving me some bad side-effects. I think a narrower wheel would solve the problem as long as it had good backspacing. Rolling the fenders won't even do it- I found a body shop in my area that knows what to do but they want $400 for it and there's no garantee that it'll work for sure.

Don't think so. The calipers and brackets are layed out for the sn95 axles. I don't know why ford racing would tell me that I should have no problem with ANY wheel w/over 5 3/4" backspacing.
