Default 4cylinder turbo t-5 in a 5.0 gt

what changes need to be made so i can fit a 4 cylinder turbo t-5 tranny into my 85 gt?

i think it will bolt right up or you just need to swap your bell housing with the 4 bangers

i'mnot sure on the bell housing.. it might be the same.. but i think you either need to change the input shaft to a v8 one or something with getting a custom made pillot bushing or something along those lines.

nope you dont have to do that a friend of mine is running one on his 5.0 and it works just fine i dont think he did anything just bolted it up

+1 on the v8 bellhousing and then u need an adapter pilot bearing i beileve its a pontiac part number not for sure but i know u can get them on ebay in standard or roller!

the bell hosing is just 4 bolts but the piolet bearing is a little more difficult much easier if you have a lift or access to one it bassicly needs to be cut out

your easiest bet might be to find a t-5 input shaft from a ford v8 then all you got to do is pull the bearing retainer and the bearing and put in the v8 input shaft.. then all you need is the bell housing.
