what was ur time cause this guy said he was a mid 11 sec car and i thought that was a little fsat, i was think low 12's nut yea what was ur time
When it was a 6 speed it went 12.10 @ 115, now that it's a stallede auto it goes consistant 11.8's @ 113-114 mph. Keep in mind I still have stock 3.42 gears and am running a 17 inch dr. With more gear, slicks and skinnies 11.5's are very possible. I also ran my best with a 1500 foot D/A with better air alone I could see a 11.6 or 7.

My buddy took a lightning block and stoked it to a 408, with a stage 2 trick flow and 1.7's,ported wedge heads and spyder intake he puts down.. 445rwhp and 470rwtq. The whole car is for sale for 6500. He cracked his oil pan, bought the car complete and doesnt want to pull the motor to change out the pan. The money he has in exhaust, brakes, and suspension is worth 6500.

OK, back about 8-9 years ago a friend of mine and I built a lightwieght '68 Mustang and raced it..
We used the following.......
'69 351W block and C-9 heads, heads had 1.94 valves and I 'ported thme with-out a flow bench, just blended everything togather and carefully matched both intake/exhaust ports.
Small mechanical cam (flat tappet) solid. Think it was about 286in and 288ex with about 540 lift both sides.
10:0 flat top hyper type pistons, zero deck.
moly rings.
Single plane intake (eddy I think).
&50 vac secondary carb with light springs.
C-4, manual valve body
9" with 4.30
29X9" Goodyear slicks. Very used off stock eliminator car.
The '68 was only about 2900#
BOSS 429 scoop.
We ran as good as 11.60/118 up here in the Arizona desert.
Most of you guy's live near sea level so your stuff should be quicker/faster
Remember, '68 Mustangs are huge compared to FOX body cars and knowing what I know now, car could have been at least .40 quicker.
BTY, whole car was built for less than $4000 but that was back then and we had both the car and the engine/heads/C-4 to start with.......

Forgot to mention, if we were not making 400 at the rear wheels we had to be close. My Moroso rule says that at sea level we were about 390/395hp........
