8 hp per degree is wrong..some motor might get a cpl,or several,but usually no more then about 2-10 on avg...

OK, I found what I was looking for. It was an 8* increase (From 6-14) and they were expecting 2 HP per degree. Sorry bout that one guys. It was in a very old copy of 5.0 mustangs.

I made 335 RWHP with 17* advance on a motor tune and then 320 RWHP with 14* for a 150 shot of nitrous.

You typicaly will see a gain of 10 RWHP by advancing the timing if it is'nt allready advanced.

Most cars will start to ping at 14 to 15* so I wouldn't go much past that unless your running better than 83 octane.

uh i thought the base timing was set at 10* from the factory were did you get 6*?and remember guys when you set the timing remember to remove the butt conection that dangles off the distributor.
