Ok my hatch latch officially sucks. although it acts as a good spoiler when it randomly lifts up while i'm driving. Does anyone know where i can get a stupid hatch latch.. for some reason they are hard to find. Thanks

get a spoiler. it creates downforce, which should solve your hatch opening problem. Solved mine

what area are you in? any junkyards close to you? i was just at a junkyard last week and saw a latch for a hatch.

i have resorted to jumping on mine to get it shut. I'm in Lee's Summit MO i went to pick and pull a junk yard around here they had one 87 mustang with no hatch.

i have that same prob..idk if this would work for you but my dad and i moved the striker bolt i think he called it up and down til it shut better..it worked pretty good she doesn't open as much

yeah i moved the striker a few times... but i always went back down and if you move an inch to high the hatch bounces.

see if thats the prob or if the piece on the hatch froze up... mine did that... i wd40 d the **** outa it, like sprayed it, let is sit for 10 min, sprayed it, let it sit, etc etc... for about 2 hours(i was at school, had my car in the bay next to the one i was working in)... and now it works better, but not perfect
