i replaced that...wronp style of pop compared to a bad power valve

A no choke will not cause popping unless it's cold....and that's not a given


88 so you closed the choke and it runs? tells me you have a vacuum leak if you close the choke and the engine is warm it should just quit running for being choked out

Grabbem; Look at the electrical/vacumn systems first. Peeps also want to mess with carb when carb is not problem..
Almost sounds like crap plugs/wires to me........

it sounds more like ignition or timing, and for the record, most powervalves are only good for one backfire, then they are blown again, only making your symtoms worse.

this carb is junk...bolts shoved into lines,and the egr prob don't work as well...


i'm placing an order for a 600-650 4bbl...eddy dual plane intake 262/276 488/496 cam double roller chain

just not sure on what dizzy to pick from...and as soon as i put this power valve into this crappy 2bbl...it popped right off the bat.

well i took that wire off...no change but i did bump the timing a little...
