Default Rear End

Some guys selling a brand new rear end for a 5.0 for $1300, He said he payed $1600 and needs the cash... what do you guys think?

what ratio of rear diff gears, what brand trak lok? what # spline/brand axles? hard to say without details, but you can get 8.8" ford rear a dime a dozen... is it a 9" rear end? Does it come with disc brakes or drums? is it a 4 lug or 5 lug?

GIVE US SOME DETAILS!!![8D]

you can get a brand new 8.8 with 3.73's from summit for $780 that is a direct mustang fit

how can you tell, it may be a 9" rear with 3.73 FRPP gears, moser hardened 31 spline axles with 5 lug cobra disc brakes....

...but yes if its a basic 5.0 replacement 8.8" with stock 28 sline and 4 lug drum brakes, the dude got the touch your toes job...

Definetly done go for that. You can replace EVERYTHING w/ brand new parts for that price....
