Default which explorer parts?

looking to head to the junkyard, and am wanting to get some heads and other bolt on stuff..what year explorers can i get stuff off of and what can i get?

I know the intake and heads of a 1996 explorer with work. Just do a quick search, this has been a common thread lately.

my understanding is if you have an 87-93 5.0, the pre 97.5 year explorer/mountaineers are the years you wanna look for.

You can use post 97.5 top ends, they just are GT40p heads which require different headers. Also, I am not trying to flame you too bad here, but this is a pretty common thread (Like it is on here a couple times a week). Searching a little will go a long way to get your answeres.
