ok i have a 89 mustang gt im replacing my fuel pump i got the tank down the bracket that holds the pump in loose now how the bleep do i get the pump out ive tried different ways an i can't get it out of the tank,lol can u guys help me out

Theres a big washer looking thing with little tabs that stick up you have to tap them in a certain direction it will start to spin and loosen up then you turn the pump around and around till it comes out let me know how it goes

allright thanx i think i did that i got it where i can start to pull it up got the tap thing loose with a chizzle an hammer but when i start to pull it up it wont fit threw the whole

Use a screw driver and a hammer to tap on the tabs on the lock down washer and everything will pop right out.

Try tapping it a little further then.

allright ill try i guess lol like the lines that are attached wont fit should i try stretchin the hole?

Keep pulling on it and the sock at the bottom of the pump is whats holding it in the tank the sock is made of nylon or sumsin just f--k with it its flexible pull the pump almost all the way out than turn it on its side than mess with the sock
