They hold 14 qrts I would put 50 water and 50 coolant. Yes draining a gallon and putting in a gallon of antifreeze would probably work for now .

I got my new tstat in today...my car doesn't overhat anymore but it has odd temp patterns. When my old stat was working it'd sit at 195 degrees all day. Now itll idle at 180 degrees (and sometimes a bit under), and when I drive it'll go up to around 195*. Any ideas what would cause this? The old Tstat I took out actually said "B180" on the bottom, leading me to believe it was a 180 tstat. The new one is just a regular stant 195 deg. thermostat.

The stat was a bitch to get in, it kept falling out of the flange in the housing when I would put it on.
