Default gt40 heads

i know you guys get tons of questions about these, but i have a few more, if yall dont mind.

im gonna check with my local junk yards to try and find some heads and an intake off an explorer this weekend, (is a 96 explorer a good year to look for? cuz i want the GT40 not the GT40P.). if and when, i do get these i will probably send them to a machine shop to get them looked over to make sure they are in the best running order possible.

my ?s are, what should i replace on them (springs, roller rockers)? and i need to know what type of cam will work well with the heads and the intake.

96-97.5 had GT-40 heads and a good intake as well...

Contact Thumper at www.thumperoforangepark.com and see if he has any in stock... it will GREATLY redude your search time.

milled and ported gt-40's, explorer intake and a decent cam will get you 300+ at the wheels

low... non-milled gt-40 heads will decrease your compression ratio as they have a larger combustion chamber than a stock set of heads for a stang...

+1 on what milling is?

id figure if your taking the time to take your stuff to a shop you might as well just get the intake ported while your at it. Can you trust mist machiene shops doing a job like this or should we look for somewhere more specific?
