C&L's are known for their lack of tunability... every local shop around here will refuse to tune your car if you are running a C&L...

the idea is to get RID of the stock maf sensor because it doesnt have very good resolution... and just adjusting the size of the hole the air can flow through isnt a good way to adjust how a maf works...

get a 80mm Pro-M and be done with it.

I think he said he was using an '83 GT. That car wieghts 100's less than any of the '94-95's did. 100# a tenth remember.
Flat tappet motor, too bad about the gearing, 4.10's would really wake it up, in fact, the rest of the E7 engine not a bad idea.
I'd carb it.........

Dont you have a cobra??? why would you wanna get a new intake? the GT-40/Cobra intake is one of the best on the market... get your lower ported and have your upper CLEANED OUT.... i'd be willing to bet that the inside of your intake manifold is black and covered with carbon/oil residue... Keep the gt-40/cobra intake because the KB will bolt TO it

100lbs may make 1/10 of a second difference... but having a ****ty driver doesnt help much either.

Typically anyone that has to ask "how fast is my car in the 1/4?" has obviously never BEEN to the track... so im gonna assume his first few runs will be in the 15's

How much do you think an 83GT weighs?? I can tell you that My car only tips the scales at 3230lbs

How much RWHP would this car put down. and how fast could it go in the 1/4 mile.

83 Mustang GT, Stock Bottom End 302, Stock E7 Heads, Edelbrock Torker ll Cam (214/224 Duration @ 50 & 472/496 Lift)
Edelbrock Torker ll Intake Manifold, Motorcraft 650 CFM Carb, 1 5/8" Longtubes, 2 1/2" Exhaust w/Dynomax Mufflers
SROD 4-Spd Tranny, 2.73 gears, 225/50/15 Goodyear F1 Tires.

????????????
With that torker manifold your gonna need some more gear then that. I'm suprised your not complaining it bucks under 2500rpm. That manifold won't allow any low end and doesn't make power till 3000rpm.

sorry togo off topic on this but i will make it really quick, ZachW04. what collor int is in your 86? if it's grey then i am very interested in buying your center console armrest off you.. i need it to complete my int. i have all the original int... but with a **** red center armrest.lol..

and back on topic. carb cars are known for making more power then a fuel injected car because there is less restriction in the intake system so i could see why maybe he might make cloe to 260hp.
