What should i get for a 408w?

something thats gonna give me good power and probably about a 10:1 compression ratio

408? sounds like you want something serious, get the 225's

dont forget that the 351w's use 1/2 inch head bolts were the 302's use a smaller 7/16 inch. any head you buy for a 5.0 will have to need the head bolt holes drilled out to 1/2 inch.

that said i would vote for canfields.

WAY too big unless hes gonna run forced induction... id go with 205's at the most

i agree with adder on the 205's. even with the 205's they raised exhaust ports some he's going to have to get bigger than the standard 1 5/8 headers

okay so we agree 205 is the best size for me? what brand, though?

also, would a 1.75" header work for me? i'm lookin into a set of the 1 3/4" BBK LT's

this car is goin on insurance as some type of rarely driven car so i dont have to pass emissions ^_^ which means my exhaust consists of LT headers and SLP LM's... and thats about it.

they come in both aluminum AND iron.. price is pretty damn good too

since your rebuilding the bottom end i cannot tell you what your compression ratio would be, since i dont know what type of pistons you would be using.

yes they would make good power... so long as you dont just toss parts at the motor like most of the idiots on this forum
