Default balancer? please help

yesterday i noticed that i had a vibration coming for the motor. today i started the car while the hood as up and i thought the hood was going to shake shut. i noticed that my balancer was a little loose. i could move it pretty easy about a 1/16 to 1/8 inch. would this be way the motor is shaking so bad? if so is there any way to tighten the balancer or do i have to pay a new one?

do some research on the site here, just put "balancer" into the search box, or "vibration" -- i studied up on here last night, because i've got a driveline vibration.

if the balancer is loose, you more than likely need a new one. i've read that the sn95's tend to go bad.
