Default Pontiac Grand Am

I know I am on the mustang forum but since the Grand Am forum has like three members i will see if i can get any love here. I do have a stang its torn down right now and my piece of sh*t daily driver, the grand am is screwing up. I was driving about 100-110 down the highway the other night, and now it is acting up, like it is missing. I changed the plugs and wires and oil (thinking I cracked the head, and did compression test, all were good). It is running almost like when you unplug your map sensor vacuum line so I replaced that and still it is running crappy. any other ideas out there. i think its just a miss but it doesnt have distributor or anything like that it is very weird to me from all the other cars I have had, it also has 130000 miles on it but it was my moms car so i know it wasnt driven hard.

+1, one of my buddies has a grand am, same symptoms and it turned out to be the coil. Have you had to change the intake gaskets in it yet?

Ok under the coil cover, the white plastic housing that the coils sit in. Is it all or partially black or discolored. These crack and go bad all the time. It's almost like having a crack in a distributor cap. I bet it's the problem.

This piece right here......

Did you not look at the picture I posted. Didn't you say you replaced the plugs? Oh and this set up doesn't have wires, they are boots!! Then how could you possibly NOT know where the coils are? Somethin don't add up!![&:]
