Bobby - Be safe and run the weight Ford recomends. Run the right weight, and your already useing a kick *** synthetic oil, your really doing everything you can do for that engine, which is a lot. As long as you change the oil every 3-5000 miles, that motor will last a very very long time.

allright ill stick wwith the 10 30, i cant seem to find 10 40 in mobil 1 around here?

10w 40 is popular, so a lot of places sell out very easily (that ive seen)

Wait until 5000 miles. Let the valves seat. Also, 50 weight oil is to thick for a new engine. Talk to your builder. I bet he would suggest a 10w30 until you have a few thousand miles on it. Certainly nothing heavier then 10w40.
