remind me again why used gears are bad? some sort of wine? how so? i only ask cause i have a friend who owns a recking yard and has a set of 3.55 8.8 ford racing gears he said he would sell me for $25. he said they have only a couple thousand miles on them. im super tempted to buy them

they dont show signs of wear

EDIT: oh ya, my friend at the ford dealship is going to install them for me so do you think sense its a ford trained tech he will be able to get them to run without noise sense hes done this a million times

I bought my 3.73s used. Paid 100 buck for them cause the guy helped me install theam, I also work at Ford. Don't whine at all.

seriously its only 25 bucks even if they blow u could still sell em for 50 bucks n make a profit

sweet, just got them. he also through in a set of spider gears and a bunch of new barrings. now all i have to do is come up with the time and money to have them installed.
