I have an 89 5.0, when i go to start my car it cranks but i cant hear the fuel pump make that humming noise. I'm guessing the fuel pump isn't turning on so any ideas of what may be wrong? it cranks and everything just the fuel pump doesn't kick on! help please, thanks.

so wait the car doesnt start at all? did u put a new fuel pump in there or the car all of a sudden juss started doin this

well if the car still runs and drives and you say that the fuel pump isn't working then there is no way posible that the car would run so i would'nt say the fuel pump is bad maybe its just in your head?????????????????/[&:]

check in the trunk on pass side and remove carpet matting etc an look for a switch.. it might of gotten bumbed .

Well it wouldent start because the fuel pump wasnt kickin on. The engine would turn over and everything just no fuel because the pump wasnt on. Later on in the night thought i went out and turned the key and it turned on and started right up. so i dunno what could be the problem? i dont wanna be out somewhere and it not turn on again so any ideas of what might be wrong would be appreciated? maybe a bad relay or something ? Thanks

yah maybe the wires on ur pump or kinda f*** up.. have it checked out
